Attention all Northwest comic lovers and all geeks alike!

Northwest Comic Fest, which will have it’s first annual event on August 15th and 16th in Salem Oregon, has announced it will also have a completely free event for Artists and Vendors to set up and sell their wares. The Event will happen at the Salem Oregon Arts Building on February 4th, the First Wednesday of the month and will tentatively be from 2PM-9PM with more set in stone hours to be announced closer to the event.

This event aims to help the local Artists and Vendors that were financially hurt by the recent cancellations and restructuring of other events. The Event will not only be free to attend, but it is free for the 50 Artist and vendors that will be there as well. The Event will include booths with things for sale, Art Demonstrations, and performances.

If you live in Oregon, I highly recommend you come check this out. They also have a Website for Northwest Comic Fest, and a Facebook page for both events. We will also be covering Northwest Comic Fest in August, described as “not a Con but a Celebration” for all the things we love. More information about that event will be available closer to the event happening.

Have any events you’re looking forward to? Let us know below, and Don’t forget to check us out on Facebook.

The PlayStation Now subscription service launched last week on the PlayStation 4, with a free one week subscription available to everyone. This review is based on my experience with the service after I participated in the trial and i have paid for a subscription.

The long awaited service launched with 107 titles available to stream instantly, including titles such as ‘The Last of Us’ ‘God of War: Ascension’ ‘Bioshock Infinite’ ‘The Walking Dead Season 1’ and many others, with many more to come. The current goal is to get all, or as many as possible, PlayStation 3 games on the service, and then look at the older generation of games. The Service is $19.99 a month or $44.99 for 3 months (roughly $15 a month) and this subscription allows you to stream any game available on the service indefinitely, as long as you are a subscriber.

While playing, I encountered few issues with the service, being kicked completely out of a game twice, but the issues do exist. The primary issue encountered is lagging in the stream, which can make it hard to play the games at points.psnow-logo-centered-threecolum-us-05jun14 I highly recommend paying hardwired into your router instead of WiFi and this should fix a good number of issues. If you are worried your internet isn’t good enough to stream you can test the connection through the store before you download the service.

For me, this service is highly worth it, for the shear number of current and promised games. Games that i personally never got to finish or even play. So I recommend everyone try the trial at the least and see if this is a good fit for them.

What are your opinions on the service so far? Have any Games you would like us to review? Let us know below and don’t forget to check us out on Facebook by clicking here.

1. Which costume you have is the most uncomfortable to wear all day to a convention?

1. Difficult to choose one… Perhaps some parts of some costumes are difficult to wear, one for heels, another for big skirts, another for petticoat… I felt a lot of pain in my hips when I wore Yuuko’s skirts and petticoat. Aria was really uncomfortable at the end of the day. The skirt of my gold Belle are really heavy… I can’t choose only one.

2. If you could only have one; video games, comics, or movies, which would you choose?

2. Another difficult to choose one! Ahahaha perhaps videogames. Since years ago I enjoy soo much play videogames, alone and with my friends. Really fun!

3. Are you a cat or dog person?

3. I love both and I had both, but I’m more like a cat person

4. What’s a food you could eat forever?

4. …I don’t know. Meat I suppose. I LOOOOVE meat. I can’t live without meat. And sweets. And chocolate…. for gods sake, I don’t really know! Ahahaha

5. Any big plans for 2015?

5. Well, at the moment I have one or two plans, and fix other old costumes for making photos I think I work con my Elinor (Brave) costume first.

Let’s all take a moment to thank god for Agent Carter!

Finally!! There is finally a Marvel show on TV that i look forward to watching! I love the tie in to the movies with Agents of Shield, but for some reason there is just no way that I can sit through it. I have never been able to put my finger on it, but something about it has always bothered me. This is the very reason that I waited till I could watch 2 episodes in a row of Agent Carter. It was worth it!

Last night I sat 1200.2x1and watched both episodes and loved every minute of it. From the old timey feel of it, to the action scenes. There was humor, action, and still so many tie ins to the movies. I think there will be quiet a reveal when this is all over. The show is based around the premise that Howard Stark has become a traitor and that Agent Carter will be the only one that can prove he is innocent. This post is not a recap or anything like that so that is about as far as we will go on that.

It was nice to see Jarvis in the show and just how he interacted with Howard and Ms. Carter.Edwin_Jarvis_1 Wanting so badly to be involved in the action made me laugh a few times but often reminded me of how much Tony and his father were alike.

The biggest part of this that made me excited was that Marvel could put out a show that would rival what DC was doing with Arrow, Gotham, and Flash. With Dare Devil coming in April and more on the way, I was truly afraid that they would all garbage and not worth the time of day.

With all this said, what were your thoughts about the show? Is it better than Agents of Shield or do you like that one as well? Any hopes for the up coming Netflix series? Let us know in the comments below! and as always, follow us on facebook by clicking here!

1. How many movies have you seen in theaters this year?

I’ve seen five movies in theaters this year, I watch most movies on Netflix or TV

2. Who is your favorite super villain?

Phoenix would have to be my favorite, I don’t know if you really consider her a “super villain” but shes good and bad so she’s the best of both worlds!

3. If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go?

Growing up it was always Australia, but recently I saw a picture of a very muscular kangaroo, so now my plans are changing and I haven’t decided on a new location yet

4. What is the strangest complement you have ever received?

I had a guy one time tell me he really liked my kneecaps

5. Any big plans for 2015?

I’m working on a calender to be released fall of next year for 2016! I have many conventions coming up that I’m going to be a guest at that I’m super excited about as well! I’m also planning my most challenging costume to date for the near future.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 26,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 10 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
