Are you so sure that’s a Stormtrooper?

I am sure that if you are a Starwars fan or not you have seen the new teaser trailer. Shortly after it was released the hate began to pour in. There were plenty of happy fans but the main thing that was being put out there was the lack of thrilledness that people were feeling. One of the main complaints was the very first image we see, the Stromtrooper that just happened to be black…

The ignorant talk began pouring in with people saying that Disney was already messing things up because the Stromtroopers were clones and there was no way he could black. Let’s start this with some basic corrections. First off, according the the prequels the clones were more of a Hispanic race and still not white. Second of all, the Stormtrooper were no longer clones by the time the original trilogy came around. The Empire had gone to recruiting by then.

Not that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about the trailer. Are we so sure that he is a Stormtrooper at all? He is one of the main actors listed in the movies IMDB page and last time i checked, Stromtrooper was not an A-list movie role. I wonder why this seems familiar? How yeah, that’s right. This!

Just because he in the suit doesn’t mean anything! Have you ever seen a Stormtrooper without his helmet? Nope! The only time we have seen the armor without the helmet is when Luke and Han were on the Death Star. Am I the only one thinks that this is just another case of ‘ Oh crap, they know who I am?’ .

This would also be a reason why he had such a worried look on his face. Who else would be so worried that someone would track down one little Stromtrooper in the middle of the desert?

Comment below and give us your thoughts on who he is and what is is so scared of! Till next time guys. Make sure to follow us on Facebook by clicking here and join us for all the awesome fun!

Day 3 Wizard World Tulsa: See you guys next year!

After three long days for all the cosplay, merch, and celebrities that we could ask for, it has come to an end. If you were anything like us, you are worn out and glad to be at home. After a convention comes ends, there is always that day of pure nothing. We just sit back and relax and look over all the tweets, photos on Facebook, and show off all the awesome things we picked up from the con.

But let’s look over all the fun from the final day!

When we arrived at 10am the line was already wrapping down the street and towards the edge of  the Cox Convention Center. People had shown up early to be one of the first few in and find the good spots in line for autographs. After 45 mins of waiting they decided to open the doors and little early and let everyone in! The doors came open and it was like a flood!

DSC_2820It was nice to see Tulsa’s news programs take so well to the convention. They has had experience covering the cons, seeing that Tokyo in Tulsa comes every year. There was even a news crew interviewing cosplayers that were more than willing to answer any questions they had.

We followed the crowd down to the celebrities area and just chatted with a few of them. They would not allow us to use our camera down in that area, for obvious reasons, so we do not have many pictures of the guest. ( If you have some that you would like to have featured, just send them to our email at

The cosplay on Sundays is always a little lighter but the level of cosplay did not drop at all! There were awesome costumes all around. We found a fantastic Black Adam and a few more that you can check out for yourself in the pictures below!

If you could not tell from the lines in the picture above, Tulsa sold out it’s first major comic con and with that Wizard World has already announced that they will be back next year! The date we are hearing is Oct 25th, 2015.To us, this is the greatest news of the weekend. Them wanting to come back and all the vendors talking about how great the people were is just fantastic! I always knew that if a well organized comic con were to come here that Tulsa would come out in numbers and show them that they were not making a mistake. So even though this year has come to an end, we will see you all next year and make sure to come back to the blog and check out more of the conventions and news that we post weekly! Hope you all had a blast and if you could not make it, we hope to see you next year!

We talk Power Rangers with Jason David Frank

This week we were given the chance to sit and talk with one, if not the, most popular Power Ranger of all time, Jason David Frank. Just to give you a little back ground, if you didn’t know, Jason was Tommy, the green ranger, on the original series. He has since done many different appearances on the show. So when we got the chance to sit and talk with him, the Rangers were a first stop when it came to questions.

The rumors of a reboot have been going around and gaining some steam over the past month or so. Once we asked the question he smiled big and told us ” The new movie will be filmed in 2015, it’s not written yet. I’ve talked with Saban but it’s just not written yet.” This put a big smile across my face! I was glad to hear it confirmed but is this just a reboot or a continuation of the series?  Here’s what he had to say on that: “They don’t want me to call it a reboot. It’s a re-envisioning of the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers.”  He added ” I’m sure I’ll be involved, and I’m down for that and down for the brand.”

When the chance of a Green Ranger series was brought up he told us simply ” I tried working on the Green Ranger series, and that’s not completely out, but with the Lionsgate reboot, they don’t want anything to out shine that.”

It was great to see him still so in love with the character that brought him into fame and the lime light when he was only 18 years old. The show holds a special place with a lot of people and he seemed to understand that. He talked numerous times about his fans and how much he loved getting to be with them at the comic cons and doing interviews like this one.

Speaking of fan projects, we asked about his involvement with Bat in the Sun and the awesome videos that they are doing o1920439_10152506416466687_323403750991386589_nver on YouTube.

” You know, it’s funny man. I tell this story to everyone. They ask how do I know if these interviews are real or not and I just say, you don’t care. You treat every interview equal. It doesn’t matter if they have one fan on a podcast or you got 5 million fans, if you treat them equal you’ll make a hit. So with Aaron [from Bat in the Sun] he called and and said how would you like to do this, and I just said yeah, yeah, I’ll help you out. He loves the white ranger so i’ll help him out. I had never seen his work yet and I agreed to help him. I’m a man of my word so he said go check out my work and I told him I would. So I looked it up and saw like 5 million views on Youtube, on Predator vs Wolverine and I love Wolverine so, but I thought his work was phenomenal. And it just happens to be that now he is the executive producer on my reality show, my mighty morphin life, without him and his dad I couldn’t produce the show. I think that God just puts the right people in your life and sometimes it’s great when you meet people to not ask what can you do for me, but just meet them as a person.”

We talked a little with him about the new episode of the Super Power Beat Down on Bat in the Sun. ” We just got done filming with Saban on the Green Ranger vs Ryu beat down.  Which we got Sabans approval, which is a big thing cause there is a lot of underground stuff that’s being made. It was a big deal.” I am personally excited to see how this one comes out and make sure to check out Bat in the Sun here on Youtube! You can also check out the trailer to his new web series on their channel has well!

Well guys, that wraps up our talk with Jason David Frank. The main things to take from this it that the Power Rangers movie is coming,  JDF will likely be involved in it, and even if not he is working close with Saban and doing more Ranger centered things! It was awesome to meet such a down to earth and all around great guy! Make sure to watch out for all of his new projects coming. You can find most of it at the links below! Till next time guys.

We have a name! The Force Awakens!

Well the day has finally come! With the filming of episode vii wrapping up, they decided to throw us a bone. They release the name earlier today and is starting to spread its way across the interwebs as we speak.

That is the name we are given and the name that will carry this saga into another trilogy.

Personally I love the name. It has so many meanings and brings hope to this new set of movies. Has the force been absent in recent times? Is there a new threat that forces the jedis into action once again? With the EU not bring official any longer, there is no telling where they are headed. The Force is back, meaning that the movies are finally back on the big screen, and we are all in for a hell of a treat.

Now, we still have to wait till next year to see the final product. With another year worth of leaks and official releases, I would expect to see Starwars coming back to your news feeds and time lines of all your social media.

What do you think about the name? What do you think Is the meaning behind it?

Captain Marvel is my favorite new addition

What a day! With Marvels “event” this morning, the fan boys have gone full blown crazy. Not that they shouldn’t be, because face it, the news was nothing short of stunning!  Now most of them were already rumored to be in the works but it was nice to see them official.image

There were plenty of new superheroes announced but the one we are talking about here is the one that caught my eye the most, Captain Marvel.

The fact that I am so interested in this movie was a surprise to me. Now I love Captain Marvel just as much as most comic fan, but she was never my favorite. Something about this strong female hero coming had me excited. Carol Danvers is nothing short of an awesome character, and well rounded at that. But just how does she fit in?

In the comics her journey starts with something that seems pretty familiar. She gets injuries due to Iron Man, who has been taken over during a fight in Cape Town… Now, if you believe like most of us, there is a huge fight in Africa in Age of Ultron. That leads to the first time we will see  T’challa, during what I think will be a search for vibranium. If this is true then why would it not make sense that perhaps we are introduced to Ms. Danvers here as well? It’s not a stretch to think that at some point in this movie that Ultron takes control of Iron Mans suit, and this could lead to her injury. Looking at all the movies coming down the line, they could use her in several movies, and take their time explaining who she is. I think it is pure genius!

If they at least introduce her in Age of Ultron there is reason to believe you could see the continuation of that in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and then show her siding with Tony during the Civil War, all of this coming to a head and her joining the Avengers in the Infinity War. Between these two movies there will be time to explain even more about her in her own solo film, just two months after part 1. Maybe she will come into the end of this “war” with full power?

Is this to much of a stretch? Is this not a perfect way to introduce some of the key characters for the future, and personally I believe Captain Marvel will be a huge part of this story line. What about you? What’s your theories?

Pictures leaked from AoU trailer… but why the Hulkbuster now?

IMG_4721 So, let’s start with first things first. No one is sitting at home saying, “Why does the stupid Hulkbuster armor have to be in this movie? It’s just dumb.” No one… not one single soul. The Hulkbuster has always been a fan favorite and getting to see it in “live action” (or CGI action if you will) is going to be pure awesome! In the last Avengers movie we saw Thor and the big green machine go at it and now its the man in the iron armor to give it a swing.

After seeing the awesome “leaked” photo of the suit, from what we all figure is the trailer set to release next week, the only question I have is… Why? Now you can see the picture to the right if you have yet to see it. It looks awesome, it looks massive, and it looks like I always hoped it would, but that does not stop me from asking, why now? The timing seems interesting. Lets consider a few thing here. The Avengers have assembled yet again to take down the greatest villain the comic movie world has seen yet. (Beside Thanos in GotG) There is a war raging like nothing any of them have ever seen, given the poster that was released at SDCC this year. There are new Avengers in the group and that takes training and getting used to. All of this going on and now… Let’s take the hulk down!

The only reason this suit is ever used is to stop the Hulk, or something just as big, so we know that it’s not Ultron. The loss of speed would be too much of a disadvantage against him. So the Hulk gets so out of control that in the middle of this war that Tony is forced to pull out a suit strong enough to stop him…or at least slow him down. Here are the only reason I could see him using the armor at all for this movie:

1. It is the start of the movie and the government calls in Tony to stop the Hulk. He has lost control and something has to be done. Tony will say yes because he is the only one with an ego big enough to take him on. Thor is not in the picture yet, so there is no using him. This is also a perfect out for Tony to make a new suit after Iron Man 3. Oh and don’t forget, remember the end of the Hulk movie where Tony walks into the bar to find Thunderbolt Ross? Makes a little sense now doesn’t it?

2. Ultron some how takes control of the Hulk. This seems the least likely to me, but if it can be done Ultron would be the one to do it. Even though it seems Loki really wanted to, I doubt if would have be able to wrangle something as powerful as the Hulk. Will Ultron use the Hulk against the Avengers?

3. Even though the question has been asked before and the answer was no. Is this the start to a Planet Hulk movie? Will they shoot the Hulk into space to get rid of him? How else do you control something so violent, with Banner not running the show upstairs. Think about this too though… With Civil war being the story for Cap 3, can we have Civil War with Hulk and Banner running around? Is this how you get rid of him for the time being? Of course, they did say that some of the Guardians of the Galaxy would meet up some some of the Avengers… is this why? Do they find the Hulk? Maybe in a post credits scene?

Now some of these theories may be a little off, hence the theories part, but they could all be viable with a little fleshing out. What do you think they are doing with this move? Does it matter to you at all or do you just want to see them go at it? Let us know in the comments!Screenshots_2014-10-22-16-04-35

Before you go… enjoy this leaked picture of Ultron as well… What is there to say about that besides…. Hell Yes! He looks awesome and with James Spader doing the voice, I’m sure there will be no disappointment! Till next time guys!
