I am sure that if you are a Starwars fan or not you have seen the new teaser trailer. Shortly after it was released the hate began to pour in. There were plenty of happy fans but the main thing that was being put out there was the lack of thrilledness that people were feeling. One of the main complaints was the very first image we see, the Stromtrooper that just happened to be black…
The ignorant talk began pouring in with people saying that Disney was already messing things up because the Stromtroopers were clones and there was no way he could black. Let’s start this with some basic corrections. First off, according the the prequels the clones were more of a Hispanic race and still not white. Second of all, the Stormtrooper were no longer clones by the time the original trilogy came around. The Empire had gone to recruiting by then.
Not that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about the trailer. Are we so sure that he is a Stormtrooper at all? He is one of the main actors listed in the movies IMDB page and last time i checked, Stromtrooper was not an A-list movie role. I wonder why this seems familiar? How yeah, that’s right. This!
Just because he in the suit doesn’t mean anything! Have you ever seen a Stormtrooper without his helmet? Nope! The only time we have seen the armor without the helmet is when Luke and Han were on the Death Star. Am I the only one thinks that this is just another case of ‘ Oh crap, they know who I am?’ .
This would also be a reason why he had such a worried look on his face. Who else would be so worried that someone would track down one little Stromtrooper in the middle of the desert?
